Priyanka Chopra

Actor, Producer & Entreprenuer

What’s stopping Priyanka Chopra from global domination? The answer is ‘nothing’. Year after year, the actor continues to make her mark on the world and looks glamorous while doing so. This year was no different. Priyanka, who made her Hollywood debut with Quantico (2015), the thriller drama television show in which she plays an FBI agent accused of being a sleeper terrorist, starred in a spy thriller called Citadel this year. Produced by Amazon Studios and directed by the Russo Brothers – yes, the duo whose cinematic genius has been responsible for some of the most pop culturally relevant movies such as Captain America and Avengers: Endgame – the show was one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the year. Also starring Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville among others, the series packed some serious action interspersed in a plotline so taut, it didn’t allow your attention to flicker.

If you had any doubt about whether someone as glamorous as Priyanka could ace action roles, Citadel will settle them. The fact that the show has been renewed for season 2 tells you that even more so. A sharp contrast in her choice of work was spotted in her role in the romantic dramedy Love Again. Priyanka played Mira, a woman who forms an unexpected relationship with the person using her dead fiance’s phone number, a siphon for, perhaps, her own vulnerability.

When you are Priyanka and have long-standing relationships with some of the biggest houses in fashion and every big designer in the world wants to dress you, work also means looking like a million bucks. The actor was also one of the most photographed this year. In March, she attended the Valentino Fall/Winter 2023 show dressed in the brand’s signature pink monogrammed kaftan dress and, shortly thereafter at the Met Gala, in a custom black and white dress by the house’s creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli. And, as the global ambassador for Bulgari, for the launch of its high jewellery collection, Mediterranea, she chose a fantasy-inspired skirt set by South Korean couture designer, Miss Sohee. In an interview with Femina earlier this year, Priyanka had shared, “I feel blessed and privileged to be able to be in the position that I am in and to be able to have a job that I love so much. So many people have to work to survive. I go to work because I love it.” The fact that she is one of the most famous women in the world is just a bonus.
