Farhan Akhtar reveals the reason behind Jee Lee Zaraa delay and it has something to do with Priyanka Chopra
Farhan Akhtar explained the reason behind the delay in Jee Le Zaraa and said that the film seems to have a destiny of its own.

The much-awaited film Jee Le Zaraa, co-written by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, and directed by Farhan Akhtar became the most anticipated film in recent years as soon as it was announced in 2021. However, since then, there have been no major updates, and several reports have surfaced suggesting delays due to changes in the cast.
In a new interview with Variety, Farhan opened up about the film featuring Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Alia Bhatt and said that there have been issues with the dates. Farhan said, “We just have issues with dates, and the actor’s strike that’s happened has put Priyanka’s dates into a huge tizzy with what can happen and what can’t, so I’ve started genuinely believing that that film now has a destiny of its own. It’ll happen when it has to, we’ll see.”
Earlier in an interview with PTI, Reema had refuted the rumours surrounding the change of the cast. She said, “Jee Le Zaraa will go on floors with the same cast.” During the many promotions of their other films, the three lead cast members have constantly assured the audience that they are still a part of the movie but there has been no concrete update on the film.
Jee Le Zaraa will mark Farhan’s return to direction after 2011’s Don 2. However, since the filmmaker is now making Don 3 with Ranveer Singh, it seems like Jee Le Zaraa might get pushed to the back burner.
