Actor Robert Pattinson, who is widely known for his role as Batman in Matt Reeves’ The Batman (2022), started acting in the early 2000s. He faced a lot of difficulties trying to find his big break but ultimately bagged the role of Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire in 2005. Michael Bay’s Transformers series is undoubtedly one of the most famous franchises of all time. The franchise was so big that almost every actor in the industry was interested in bagging a role in the movie. Robert Pattinson was one of the few who got the opportunity to star in the franchise, however, he reportedly ruined his audition for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. The actor did the American accent, not realizing that everyone in the room knew who he was. The impression made everyone think that he was doing a “bizarrely bland in-character improv.” His agent later called him and explained the issue.

Ruining an audition for a $4.8 billion franchise was not enough for Pattinson, as he also turned down a role in 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy. As per reports, the actor didn’t see himself becoming a blockbuster star of superhero movies after ending his Twilight run.

However, he went on to star in Matt Reeves’ The Batman (2022) and became a worldwide sensation for his portrayal of the caped crusader.

His association with Safdie Brother in Good Time paved the way to play the Caped Crusader in Matt Reeves’ critically acclaimed The Batman.

From working with Christopher Nolan in Tenet, Pattinson is now set to work with Oscar-winning director Bong Joon-ho in the upcoming sci-fi Mickey 17. Apart from that, the British heartthrob will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne in The Batman 2.
