Letterkenny Season 11 Trailer Teases a Fistfight Between the Hicks and the Degens

The trailer for the next season of the cult sitcom dropped today, promising more of the trademark Canadian culture and humor.

The iconic Canadian television series Letterkenny has been renewed for an eleventh season, and the trailer just dropped, promising more humor, social commentary, and even a fight scene.

The quick look at season eleven delivers more witty insults, dished out in the fast-paced, heavily-accented Letterkenny fashion as Daryl, Katy, and Dan make fun of Wayne’s new reflective sunglasses. The crew also converses with the local Amish couple, who unknowingly makes some rather suggestive innuendos, while the flamboyant preacher Glen asks for a prostate exam during a workout with the local hockey players. Social media influencers arrive in the town of Letterkenny and get compared to influenza in a clever play on words. Perhaps the biggest reveal of the trailer shows Wayne and his fellow hicks facing off with their arch-enemies, the Degens, showing the first punch of a potentially intense brawl.

In the description of the video, Hulu lists off some of the upcoming complications coming to the town of Letterkenny:

“The residents of Letterkenny belong to one of three groups: the Hicks, the Skids, and the Hockey Players, who are constantly feuding over seemingly trivial matters that often end with someone getting their ass kicked. In Season 11, the small town contends with the best chip flavors, lost dogs, an influencer invasion, Skid business, a mystery at the Church Bake Sale, unwanted guests at beer league, and the Degens stirring up trouble. And that’s just for starters. Streaming on Hulu December 26.”

Hulu released a short teaser a couple of weeks ago, but the full trailer just landed today.

A spin-off of the series, titled Shoresy, began streaming on Hulu earlier this year. The titular character appears in Letterkenny, although his face is never seen. Played by Jared Keeso, Shoresy is a hockey player struggling to keep his team from being shut down after a long losing streak. It’s also written by Keeso, and has the same brand of fast-paced deadpan humor as Letterkenny, although with a different setting and plot. The second season of Shoresy hasn’t been confirmed yet, although the first received positive reviews.

Letterkenny initially started off as a YouTube series called Letterkenny Problems back in 2013. It’s since been picked up by Hulu for streaming in the United States, while the TV network Crave distributes the series in its home country of Canada.

Created, developed, and written by Jared Keeso, the eleventh season of Letterkenny will begin streaming on Hulu on December 26th. It’s directed by Jacob Tierney, who also serves as co-developer and co-writer. Other writers for the series include Jonathan Torrens, Jesse McKeown, and Trevor Ri. The recurring cast consists of Jared Keeso, Nathan Dales, Michelle Mylett, K. Trevor Wilson, Dylan Playfair, Andrew Herr, Tyler Johnston, Evan Stern, Jacob Tierney, and Lisa Codrington.
