A Terrifying Twilight Theory Suggests Bella Is Really a [SPOILER] – Is It True?
This fan theory about the Twilight saga speculates that Bella Swan might have been hiding a powerful and dangerous secret of her own.

The Twilight Saga is arguably the biggest supernatural romance franchise of the 2000s. It tells the story of a regular girl-next-door who falls in love with the handsome, brooding vampire in town. Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) was considered to be an average small-town girl, but she managed to catch the attention of the most eligible vampire bachelor in Forks.
Despite being unnaturally handsome and magnetically attractive to the women of Forks, Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) was uninterested in settling down with anyone until he met Bella. The explanation for his attraction to her was that Bella’s blood smelled so sweet to Edward that he could not resist her. But one Reddit user believes that Bella might have been using her own supernatural techniques to get Edward’s attention.

A theory posted by user u/-Graff- suggests that the reason Bella was so attractive to Edward is that she was secretly a succubus. A succubus is a mythical creature that usually takes the form of a woman and entices men using ຣᥱ𝑥ual attraction. These demons seduce men into sleeping with them, which allows them to feed off of their victims once they have been weakened enough. This would mean that Bella was using her abilities to attract Edward and weaken him with every intimate encounter.
The reasoning behind the Twilight theory is that Bella gave the appearance of a regular girl but had an enticing presence to vampires and humans alike. Bella’s arrival in Forks sparked a flurry of interest in the small town as she captured the attention of many boys her age, including Edward, her male classmates and the werewolf Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner). Additionally, every vampire that Bella met remarked on how delicious her blood smelled.
While the theory is flawed, it would explain why so many people in Twilight were drawn to Bella, despite the character repeatedly being described as plain and somewhat unremarkable. It’s true that there were many boys in her social groups that were interested in pursuing her, but this could be due to her being a new girl in a small town where everyone already knew each other.

The theory further posits that Bella being a demon could be the reason why she was unaffected by certain vampires’ abilities, such as Edward’s mind-reading and Kate’s electrokinesis. Bella had already been able to block Edward’s ability while she was human, and she developed this skill as a vampire by extending her mental shield around anyone that she wanted to protect. However, Bella was not immune to every ability since she still appeared in Alice’s visions and Jasper could use his powers to calm her down.
It is an interesting theory, but Bella’s constant clumsiness and lack of strength as a human throughout The Twilight Saga make it hard to believe that she was secretly a powerful being. Additionally, succubi usually sleep with their victims until they have fed enough and then move on to the next one, but Edward and Bella were only ever intimate with each other after marriage.
